Dreams Take Flight: Two Friends from Pulwama and Kulgam Ace JEE Main 2025
Kashmir’s Rising Stars: Two Friends from Pulwama and Kulgam Crack JEE Main 2025 in First Attempt
Amidst the serene yet challenging landscapes of Kashmir, where internet shutdowns and harsh winters often pose obstacles, two determined young women have scripted a success story that will inspire generations to come. Simrah Mir from Kulgam and Sadaf Mushtaq from Pulwama have both cracked JEE Main 2025 in their very first attempt, scoring an impressive 99.39 and 99.50 percentile, respectively. Their achievement is not just a personal victory but a beacon of hope for countless aspiring students in the Valley.
Sadaf Mushtaq, who has always been academically exceptional, was also the state topper in the Class 10 board examinations. She believes that education is the most powerful tool to break barriers and empower Kashmiri girls to chase their dreams. “JEE felt like an uphill battle with its vast syllabus and fierce competition, but I relied on self-belief and consistent hard work. Late-night revisions, endless mock tests, and resilience kept me going,” she shares. With the unwavering support of her parents and guidance from RISE, a local coaching institute, Sadaf transformed her aspirations into reality. Her next goal? Cracking JEE Advanced and securing a seat in a top-tier engineering institute.
For Simrah Mir, balancing expectations with rigorous JEE preparation was an immense challenge. “I stayed focused by following a disciplined study plan and never letting self-doubt creep in. My dream is to study at IIT and use technology to solve real-world problems, particularly in underprivileged communities,” says Simrah. Her journey, however, was far from easy. Initially, her preparation lacked structure, but as time progressed, she adopted smarter study techniques. “I reduced my social media usage and instead of mindlessly solving hundreds of questions, I focused on deep conceptual understanding,” she explains. A high achiever throughout, she had also secured 97 percent in her Class 10 board exams.
When asked about advice for future aspirants, Simrah emphasized the importance of identifying weak areas and working on them diligently. “Solving previous years’ papers provides a better understanding of the exam pattern and significantly improves accuracy,” she noted.
Both Sadaf and Simrah are now gearing up for JEE Advanced, determined to push their limits further. Their success proves that with hard work, perseverance, and the right guidance, even the most daunting challenges can be overcome. Their journey is not just a testament to their own dedication but a source of inspiration for the entire Valley, encouraging more young minds to aim for excellence and shatter glass ceilings.
Conclusion
The achievements of Simrah Mir and Sadaf Mushtaq highlight the power of perseverance and dedication in overcoming adversity. Their success story is a testament to the fact that no hurdle is too great when met with determination and resilience.
